#9 - Classmate Blog Critique
Classmate Blog Critiques
One of my favorite things to do in my mass media classes is to look at my fellow classmate's blogs. Everyone has a particular style and aesthetic in their blog that genuinely reflects who they are. As I continue on to each class, I always notice the improvement in my own blog and my classmates. This semester, I have truly enjoyed looking at everyone's blogs and seeing the topics they have chosen to discuss. Although I would like to discuss all of my classmate's work, I have chosen several that I have admired throughout the semester.
Haylee Hines
From the first class Haylee and I took together, I noticed the professionalism and creativity in her blogging style. She always writes in full detail and writes interactively. I love her use of graphics in every post because it adds more points to the article and gives the reader a clear picture of what she is writing about.

I specifically want to talk about Haylee's Product Review. All of Haylee's work is exceptionally excellent, but this is one of her posts that stuck out to me. For her Product Review, Haylee discussed Apple Watches. This post stuck out to me because of the amount of detail she includes. She gives the history of the Apple Watch and continues to discuss her own experiences with the product. I liked that she gave background information before jumping into her review, and she was honest about her opinion on the watch.
Morgan McDaniel
The following blog that I would like to discuss is Morgan McDaniel's. The creativity she puts into her blogs is astounding. Her aesthetic is organized and pleasing to the eye. Her blog looks professional, and I can tell that she put a lot of work into making it perfect. Not only is Morgan's blog professional, but her writing is also. The way she structures her blog posts is specific to her. She also writes clearly and concisely while letting her own voice shine through the paragraphs.

Morgan's post for Global Trends is one of my favorites. I had never heard of Analog Horror before, so I was very interested in what Morgan had to say. I like how she structured her post and lets the reader know precisely what Analog Horror is and why it is so popular. Again, you can hear her voice when she writes, which is evident in this post. Morgan always inspires me to do my best whenever I see her work.
Taylor Rich
I wanted to discuss Taylor's blog because it is similar to mine; however, when I open it, I can immediately tell it's hers based on her other blogs. I have done Taylor's blogs for past blog critiques because I have always admired her work. If I am being honest, her blog is one of the first ones I check to make sure I'm on the right track. Her writing style is unique, and I always enjoy reading her work.

Taylor's post for Binge-Watching was an enjoyable read. Stranger Things is one of my favorite shows, so I was interested in the topic. I like how Taylor discusses binge-watching and includes some statistics and interactivity. Every time I read her writing, I feel like she speaks directly to me. I like how she structured this post by season and includes information and even a meme.
All of my classmates have done fantastic work this semester. There is something special about each of their blogs, and they always present their best work. Looking at their blogs always encourages me to do my best and continue revising and updating my creativity as I continue to my other classes. Haylee, Morgan, and Taylor have done excellent jobs on their blogs, and I really wanted to highlight that and congratulate them on a great semester.
